Terms of Service
Last updated August 19, 2026
This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It's written to accurately describe how Sophroneactually works today, but should be treated as a draft pending legal review before public launch — see the “still needs owner input” notes below.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Sophrone, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use Sophrone. You're responsible for making sure your use of the service complies with the laws that apply to you, including any local restrictions on trading-related tools.
3. Accounts & account security
You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Subscription, billing & pricing
Sophrone is offered as a recurring monthly subscription, currently priced and billed as shown at checkout. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Billing recurs automatically each month until you cancel. Prices may change for future billing periods; we'll give you reasonable notice before any change takes effect for your account.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel future renewal at any time from your account's billing management page (Stripe's Customer Portal). See the Refund Policy for what happens to your access after cancellation and how refund requests are handled.
6. Permitted use
You may use Sophrone for your own personal or professional trading-related decision support, in accordance with these terms.
7. Prohibited use
You may not: share your account credentials or Companion connection tokens to resell or sublicense access; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying detection/scoring logic; use the service to build a competing product; interfere with the service's normal operation; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual property
Sophrone, its analysis methodology, scoring, and all associated branding are owned by us (or our licensors). Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service — it does not transfer ownership of any underlying technology to you.
9. Information you provide
You retain ownership of the journal entries, notes, and any other information you enter into Sophrone. You give us permission to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep Sophrone available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Market-data providers, brokers, and other third-party dependencies can affect availability outside our control.
11. Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features over time, including during the Founders Access period, as the product develops.
12. Third-party services
Sophrone relies on third-party infrastructure to operate, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (billing), and market-data providers. Your use of the Companion feature with MT5 or TradingView is also subject to those platforms' own terms.
13. Disclaimers
Sophrone provides market information, analysis, educational tools, and decision-support software for Gold (XAUUSD). It does not guarantee trading results, does not provide personalized financial advice, and is not a signal service. See the Risk Disclosure for the full detail on trading risk. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sophrone and its operators are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and business evolve. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
17. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@sophrone.com.
Still needs owner input: the governing-law / jurisdiction clause a formal Terms of Service would normally include has been left out rather than invented — it requires knowing the business's actual legal jurisdiction. Add it here once that's decided.
